Acceptable Use Policy

A short list, because a long one is a sign nobody expects it to be read. Each of these exists because of a specific way this product could be misused.

Effective 21 July 2026. We will say what changed when this is revised.

The rules

This policy is part of the Terms of Service. Using LeadLatch, you agree not to do any of the following.

Nothing illegal

Do not use the service to break the law, or to help anyone else do so. That includes recording calls where you are not permitted to (see call recording).

No unsolicited outbound calling or texting

The service exists to answer calls people make to you. Do not turn it into a tool for cold calling, robocalling, or bulk messaging people who have not asked to hear from you. Telemarketing rules carry real penalties, and we will not be the instrument of them.

No pretending to be someone else

Do not configure the service to impersonate another business, another person, or a government or emergency service.

Do not try to make it lie

The agent is only permitted to say prices, availability and driving times that came from a lookup. Do not attempt to configure it, through a greeting or any other setting, to state a price, a time or a commitment that was not produced by the system.

We enforce this in the product as well as in this policy, because it protects your customers from being told something untrue in your name, and it protects you from having to honour it.

No harassment

Do not use the service to threaten, harass or abuse anyone, or to handle calls in a way designed to mislead the person on the other end.

No attacking the service

Do not attempt to break, overload, reverse engineer or gain unauthorised access to the service or to other shops’ data. If you are looking for security problems in good faith, we would like to hear from you first — see the security page.

No reselling it as your own

Do not resell, sublicense or white-label the service without our written agreement.

What happens if you break these

For most problems we will call you and sort it out. For a serious or repeated breach we may suspend or end your account, and where something is urgent or illegal we may act first and explain afterwards. We will not use this policy as a pretext for ending an account we simply did not want.

Reporting misuse
